The Los Angeles Dodgers have the Atlanta Braves on the ropes after Tuesday's 3-1 Game 3 win in the NLDS at Truist Park.
The two-time defending champions are now one win away from a third consecutive NLCS appearance.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto stymied the Braves, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out a playoff-career-high 10 over seven innings.
The 2025 World Series MVP owns a sparkling 2.14 ERA with 0.83 WHIP and 58 strikeouts over 63 postseason innings dating back to 2024.
"I was confident and able to control all my pitches today," Yamamoto said postgame through a translator, according to Charles Odum of The Associated Press.
Freddie Freeman and Kiké Hernández homered to provide the offense.
Freeman, who spent 12 years with the Braves, recorded his 18th career playoff homer. Hernández has 17 postseason round-trippers.
"I've got a gray uniform on," Freeman said. "I expect boos. It's OK. ... It's all love. I still love everybody here, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
Edwin Díaz pitched the ninth to record his first save since mid-August.
Braves ace Chris Sale allowed three runs across five innings, striking out seven but surrendering both homers.
"He was still touching 100 (mph)," Braves manager Walt Weiss said of Sale. "The stuff was fine. Like I said, maybe the command not perfect. It wasn't bad. But they did a nice job against him."
The Dodgers will send Tyler Glasnow to the mound for Wednesday's Game 4. The Braves are countering with Tyler Mahle.
