Canada beat the United States 8-1 to win gold at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup on Saturday, an annual international tournament featuring the world's top under-18 players.
It's Canada's 26th title and reclaims the trophy after the United States won last year's event to end Canada's streak of three straight tournament wins.
Brock England and Maddox Schultz had two goals apiece for Canada, who also got three assists from Landon Dupont.
Dupont, the projected 2027 first overall pick, headlined Canada's roster as its captain. The 17-year-old defenseman notched 73 points last season with the WHL's Everett Silvertips and is headed to the University of Michigan this fall. Dupont missed the world junior summer showcase to be with the Under-18 team.
Finland defeated Slovakia 3-2 earlier Saturday to take bronze. It's Finland's first medal since winning bronze in 2022.
