The Miami Dolphins are signing linebacker Jordyn Brooks to a three-year, $51.3-million extension, his agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
Brooks' deal includes $35 million in guaranteed money. He's been with the Dolphins since signing as a free agent in 2024 after a four-year run with the Seattle Seahawks. He was scheduled to hit the open market in 2027.
The 28-year-old is coming off a season in which he earned his first All-Pro nomination while posting a league-leading 183 tackles. He also notched 13 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Brooks has started in all 34 of his appearances for the Dolphins, serving as a key pillar of their defense. He received trade interest across the league this offseason, but Miami was unwilling to part with the veteran linebacker, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
New Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has been active in extending players in recent months, dishing out fresh contracts to running back De'Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer.
Brooks has recorded 839 tackles and 13 sacks in 97 career games after entering the league as a first-round pick in 2020.
